It’s funny to call this piece a hat because it also closes in the back with velcro. When you see it in person it looks like a headband but then the back of it expands to be able to cover the whole head. All you have to do to put it on is close the velcro in the back and then extend the base to the back and tuck it in to the velcro portion. If you're looking for a pretty headcover that requires minimal effort to put on, then you will appreciate this piece.
