Experience the artistry of Hermès with this vintage Silk scarf. It was designed by Marie-Françoise Héron (also referred to as Marie-Françoise Philippe). The scarf is made of 100% silk twill with hand-rolled edges and typically measures the classic 90x90 cm (approx. 35 inches square). The central image depicts a timpanist (drummer) from a French cavalry regiment in full ceremonial uniform, a role that existed until the end of the Second Empire. The figure is elegantly positioned on a richly adorned horse. The design is highly detailed, featuring sumptuous trimmings like braids, fringes, tassels, and cords, as well as the royal coat of arms with intertwined 'L's on the drum, evoking the 18th century.

Care Instructions: We do not recommend hand washing designer silk scarves, as colors may bleed. If cleaning is necessary, professional dry cleaning is best — though even then, it should be done sparingly, as the delicate hand-rolled hems may loosen with repeated cleaning.
